Home Alone...

Lucky people that we are, my mother was able to spend the first week home with us. THANK YOU JESUS!!
Then... she left. I cried. Brian begged her to stay. It was insanely scary. What were we supposed to do with this little person? We could not possibly be ready to be "in charge" of a life!

Mom left on a Friday which was probably a good thing so that I was not left completely alone just yet. First night alone wasn't all that bad. We made it through just fine.

She slept fabulously in our room... such a cutie.

We go her in the bouncer the next morning and she loved it.
On Saturday morning, Uncle Coco came to meet his niece! She loves him, of course!
He was worried about the "straight jacket" we kept her in. Hahahaha!!
Meeting Uncle Coco!!
Brian went to work on building the pak-n-play in the backyard. And building other various baby gadgets.

Unlce Coco helping out with Sammie.
Just like her Mommy and Daddy, Sammie LOVES being outside. So building the pak-n-play was a must. When I say she loves being outside... She can be in a crying screaming fit (this rarely happens) and if you walk outside... it stops.
She is sooooo tiny in this thing!

Sporting some Yankee gear from Uncle Coco.
Brian and I LOVE to go out to eat and enjoy the great outdoors. At a whopping 9 days old... we took Sammie to the Library Bar & Grill for lunch with Uncle Coco.
At the Library!

We love us some leggings!

Sunday Funday!
On Sunday, we hung out and played with new things... like the moby wrap! Sammie loved it at first but is not much of a fan these days.

What an angel.
Every morning at about 7am, Brian and Sammie have some bonding time. It is just the cutest... not to mention a great time to pop in the shower!! :)
Daddy/Sammie Time.
The weekend was over and it was time for Brian to head to work. I would be left alone with the princess for the first time. No biggie, I was ready.

So, on Monday morning as I was changing Sammie, she got very unhappy. I couldn't console her. I started to freak out. She was turning BLUE!!! I promise you the child was blue. I told Brian and we headed to the ER.

After several Drs and nurses asked if this was our first child, we started to think perhaps we were overreacting. But... they did all the tests. X-rayed her chest (insanely painful for us to watch) and then decided that she was fine. Fine, because she was probably never blue. New Mom Freak Out #1!!!

At the ER with her crazy ass parents!
Well, needless to say, she was breathing just fine. She was probably just cold. I stand by the fact that she was blue. Did we need to pay $100 to find out she was cold, probably not. BUT I felt better knowing she was okay. I also learned how hard it is to watch your child in pain and not be able to help. WORST FEELING EVER!!

Things are much more calm at the Boomer Browns these days... More fun to come!
