Princess Party

On Saturday, Sammie went to a friends birthday party and she was in heaven!

We arrived to a room filled with every dress up dress you could imagine. Sammie selected her dress in an instant! (I just knew she was going to want to switch but not the case) A beautiful Auroa dress. From there she selected jewelry while waiting for Princess Belle to help her with her hair.

People! The wall of hair was Sammies favorite. She went with a big, thick, brown braided ponytail. Then belle helped to place her tiara.

She then played with jewelry for quite sometime until it was time for the big make up session!

She loves make-up! Loves it!! First she received glittered nail polish.

Then it was the solid 1985 choice of hot pink shimmer lips with electric blue eye shadow!

So incredibly proud of her choices!

The girls all huddled up with Belle to learn about walking in their fashion show.

The girls came out one by one on the red carpet and twirled. Sammie LOVED having a captive audience. I haven't any idea where she gets that!

Then it was off to a tea party. Rocking her blue eyes, pink lips & brunette ponytail she sipped her pink lemonade with pride.

Such a fun party! Thank you Madison for a great afternoon!

Spooky Lessons

We are not crazy over scheduled toddlers but Halloween week sure seems to be eventful!
On Tuesdays Dee attends KinderMusik in Cary while sister is at school. They had their Halloween party this week and it was precious.
I love watching the kids interact with one another and musical instruments. Dee especially loves the drums.

If you met Dee before he could walk you probably saw him "hop" from place to place on his knees. Well... He just jumps from place to place these days.

Some of the kids do not care for the parachute in class... Dee eats it up!

After class we run to grab Sammie and take her to ballet class. She was Alice In Wonderland today and so cute.
Dee tries to crash ballet class every week. Poor kid just wants to be big.

Our new sweet dance friend. She was so excited to be a "cupcake fairy" so smiled that big for 45 minutes!

We have 1 busy day a week but it was super fun!!!

Christmas & Mayhem!

As many of you know, we have been a little crazy at the Brown house.
From Thanksgiving on, one of us has been sick every week until.... THIS WEEK!
We moved, we have had multiple Dr visits and now we are preparing for Brother to arrive!!

So... I took a blogging break to try and get our REAL life back in order.
Here is Christmas Part 1.

Ballerina had her very first school Christmas Party this year.
Miss Janet is wonderful and we loved it!
She was dress all festive and ready to go on that day!!

Daddy got to come to the party too!!

We have never attempted a "Santa Visit" so this was our first.

Ballerina was having no part of sitting on that man's lap so we took a pic from behind.

Not sure how Miss Janet gets her to sit so well at her table. I need her bag of tricks!!

She probably ate her weight in sugar this day... but... as strict as I am about it, it's Christmas! Can't be the Scrooge of the bunch!!

After the party we hopped in the car and headed to Ardmore for more festivities.
Check back tomorrow for Christmas Part 2!!

Thanksgiving with Grammy!

It had been 1 year since we saw Grammy in person. 1 year people!! So, we were very excited for her arrival in Oklahoma for the Thanksgiving holiday!!

We threw Grammy right into the fun! We had her teach Ballerina how to make her amazing cranberry sauce for our Thanksgiving day dinner. It was a great success. Brian and I also learned that Ballerina is much more capable of helping in the kitchen than we give her credit for!

We have the old school grinder out and everything!!
Ballerina was a big fan of putting the cranberries in the grinder.

She also got to crank the thing! (With a little help from Daddy, of course)

On Thanksgiving Day, we got up early and headed to Ardmore. We even missed the parade. Oh well... no way Ballerina would have watched it for too long!

I love the way my mother decorates her tables!

I had a small photo shoot with Ballerina once we arrived and changed into our "party clothes". If only I could get her to sit still without snackies!

As the day went on Ballerina got a little over-stimulated by the huge group of people in Tutu's House. So... she took Millie for a walk with Daddy and Grammy.
Or maybe, Millie took her for a walk. Not sure!

We had a wonderful time with Grammy! We cannot wait for her to come back for a super long visit when Baby Brother arrives!!

Halloween Festivities

Well, I am not one to really buy a crazy costume for a child that cannot even eat candy... So Ballerina wore an old dance costume to all of her fun little events.

First we had costume day at gymnastics.
Modeling at home before class.

Attempting to get a group picture of her class.

One more try. Little Super -Woman was the only kid behaving.

Learning to jump with her ball.

Then a few days later, we had a Halloween Party at daycare. I was unable to attend because I had to teach dance and Daddy had to work. So, Tutu went instead. So happy she got pics of the fun for me!

And yes, I think my sugar-free baby ate her weight in sugar that day.
Juice boxes that look like Mummys! Fun!

Apples, marshmellows and peanut butter. So freakin' cute!

Ballerina having a hershey's kiss. No more telling her they are for big kids only I guess.

Playing games.
No we did not go trick or treating. I figure that would just be mean since I don't allow her to eat any candy. However, if she asks me next year... I am all for it.

Happy Birthday Halle!

Last weekend was one of our favorite girls birthdays. Halle!!

We had a fantastic time celebrating Miss Halle!
What a fabulous little 2 year old you are!!

The party was a splish splash bash and Ballerina had a ball!
Ballerina loves the water!

So much fun!

Water tables are so much fun!!
The big kids had water balloons. While this Mommy thought Ballerina would be scared... she loved it! She loved it so much that she decided to sit in the water balloon tub when they were all gone!
Who needs a pool when you can just sit in a bucket!
Ballerina doesn't ever sit still, ever. So we have not really tried to put her at a table before.
Halle's birthday was the first time we have seen her sit still for more than 2 seconds. I'm pretty sure it was the lemonade she was guzzling.
Her 1st sip of lemonade at her first big girl table!
I broke down and allowed her to have both lemonade and a cupcake! Let's just say that she loves sugar! I think my dear friend Erin may be washing her floors from icing for weeks. All thanks to Ballerina!

Halle... blow out your candles!!
After the cupcakes and lemonade, we went back outside and played. Ballerina (notice the costume change... she had to be hosed down after her cupcake) loved the cozy coupe. Thanks to Scott for getting the floor board put in so she didn't ruin her fabulous shoes!
Ballerina loved playing in the cozy coupe!

Someday I will get to see these pictures again at weddings, when Halle and Ballerina are each others bridesmaids  Like Mothers, Like Daughters.

Samantha's Shower!

Well, Little Miss Samantha is already spoiled rotten. The weekend after Brian and I arrive in Oklahoma, my friends threw Samantha a fantastic baby shower. It was precious!!
The amazing "Ballerina Brown"
They themed the shower "Ballerina Brown" which is what I so lovingly called our daughter until we picked a name. It was super cute!! The food and decor were amazing and I couldn't be more blessed to have such amazing friends!

Such fabulous details.
We were so busy chatting and eating that I didn't get a chance to take many photos but here are a few.

My dear friend Katie.

Check out that brunch spread!

With Tammy, Leah and Angela!

"Ballerina Brown" even has her own cookies!

All my dance babies came to see us! Leah & Spencer on a rare weekend off from college.

More dancers!! Michelle, Anna & Paxton!
Once Sammie's Nursery is finished I will be able to show off all her adorable goodies!!
Thank you to all my lovely friends who came out to show our ballerina some love!
