Tiny Dancer

Well Miss Ballerina Brown has officially been in ballet for a semester now and she loves it. Who knows how long this love affair with dance will last for her but so far... I am in heaven! 

Tuesday was Parent Observation Day... 

Working on first position. 

If you've ever had a class with "Tutu" you know this is killing her! Sammie... Don't burn your buns!!! 

Turned in but straight knees!!! I'll take it!

Working on that plié! Now we are burning our shoulders but... And least we are listening! 

I love it when babes do this. Bellies out is just so comfy! 

One stretch all littles do in ballet is the "butterfly" and teachers always ask them where they're going to fly. When going around the circle, each kiddo said something like "Disney", "bouncey house" and other fun adventures. They get to Sammie and she says "I'm going to smell a sunflower". I guess she takes that being a butterfly pretty literally. 

The dance teacher in me was so sad that I couldn't get a good pic of her feet when doing "good toes, naughty toes". The girl has some FEET!!!

This girl cracks me up! She loves an audience. Cannot wait to see her Holiday Show at school next week!

Spooky Lessons

We are not crazy over scheduled toddlers but Halloween week sure seems to be eventful! 

On Tuesdays Dee attends KinderMusik in Cary while sister is at school. They had their Halloween party this week and it was precious. 

I love watching the kids interact with one another and musical instruments. Dee especially loves the drums. 

If you met Dee before he could walk you probably saw him "hop" from place to place on his knees. Well... He just jumps from place to place these days. 

Some of the kids do not care for the parachute in class... Dee eats it up! 

After class we run to grab Sammie and take her to ballet class. She was Alice In Wonderland today and so cute. 

Dee tries to crash ballet class every week. Poor kid just wants to be big.

Our new sweet dance friend. She was so excited to be a "cupcake fairy" so smiled that big for 45 minutes! 

We have 1 busy day a week but it was super fun!!!

Princess Camp 2015

Ballerina has been in day care full time for 2 years. Now that I'm just a stay at home mommy... She's stays home. Well, she's tired of me already. So we were told by a friend about princess camp and thought we'd get her out to make new friends. 

Day One: She was super excited and I couldn't even get a good pic! 

She came out of camp beaming. She took her first nap in 2 weeks after camp. THANK YOU PRINCESS CAMP! 

Day Two: She insists she must wear her Ariel costume.

After camp she was so happy. She couldn't wait to tell me all about it. She then said so sweetly "Momma, I had soooo much fun. Thank you for taking me there." Well... That thank you deserves ice cream of course! (I almost cried... She thanked me for dance camp!) 

Day Three: She woke up cranky until she realized she could pick out a new outfit for camp. HIP HOP 1 costume anyone?

Day 4: she got in the car and her teacher told me all about how she danced so well today and paid attention. Yippee! So she talked me into taking her straight to the children's museum to play. 

Day 5: THE BIG SHOW! 

I have video... It's so sad... She's the kid that waves to her family the entire show! Hahahahaha! But man she had fun. 

At 3 years old, I'm not concerned with her knowing the steps or words. I'm just happy she had a blast and asked when she woke up Saturday if she could go to camp again.

More Disney!

 After we went back to the hotel to nap, I had to head to Epcot for classes with my students.

 I am SO MAD that I didn't have room on my phone for pics and my camera was packed away. Sammie was a DELIGHT at Epcot. She sang and danced for all sorts of strangers and even stayed up WAY past bedtime to watch the fireworks. She loved them!! And... I got no good photos. I suck. 

The next day we decided to spend the 1st half of the day at the hotel pool and taking it easy.

 Sammie was a hoot in the kiddie pool! Mommy didn't get to play too much since she had a broken foot but got to take lots of pictures!!

 While Sammie and Daddy took the worlds longest nap... Mommy hit the bus with her dancers! Thanks to Angela for keeping Baby Dee that day!!

 The SCD Dancers were a HUGE hit with the crowd at Disney!! So much fun!!

After the show we hit a restaurant from dinner (where Sammie was on her WORST behavior EVER!) and then played in the rain for a bit while waiting on the insanely slow Disney Bus.
