Oooooooklahoma

Our time in Oklahoma was brief but fun!! We had more than our fair share of Braums, played outside and danced for hours!! Sammie learned to ride her tricycle and Dee followed his Paps around like a sweet little puppy.
Apparently I have deprived them of sprinkler fun!!

Sammie and Bitty did several wardrobe changes at Tutus house.
Sammie also dressed her brother.

The DDI which deserves its own post later was fabulous and Sammie LOVED it!!
She was worn out!!!

So happy we were able to make this trip happen. Now back to school and learning the ropes of our new state!!!

We survived!

Last week was an event (in Oklahoma) very dear to my heart. Soooo I packed up the kids and we headed back west for 10 days.
This was the first time I've flown solo with the kids. Let me just say... They. Are. Awesome. Really! My kids are amazing little travelers. Me? Well... After 12 years of national tours and dance competition travel all nice and solo and stuff... I could use a lesson in how to deal with my NEW travel buddies. Like... Once they're sleeping on the plane (yes, they both fell asleep!) can I go to the bathroom? Seriously people... I didn't go to the bathroom for 8 hours!!!! More on that another day.
The kids were awesome.
I refused to overpack so, Sammies rolling bag was also my dance bag for the week. (I'm so cool)
Sammie spotted our plane and was glued. Dee? Well he had me running a few circles but I say get that energy out!
The only thing I couldn't manage alone was carrying Dee on the plane in his seat plus carrying the bag of "tricks" to keep them happy. Soooo sweet Sammie had to drag the bag. It was not light. She was fab.
Sammie (who's generally my harder kid) was a saint! She played and watched movies and napped for a hot second. But soooo good.
The other kid...
Well he screamed for the first 15 min of each flight. Then passed out cold and was finished until we landed. I think he was protesting his car seat and not the flight but who knows.
Everyone would have been fabulous had I not left my purse on the plane. (Insert angry emoji) 45 minutes later I finally had it back. No thanks to the lovely TSA agent that yelled at me. (More angry emoji)

Anywho... We survived what I'm sure will not be the last trip to Oklahoma without the hubs.

Back to the Gym... for Ballerina anyway.

We had to take a break from "nastics" for the last 6 months because Mommy was in no shape for "mommy & me" classes. Sammie was so very happy when we got to return to the gym this June!
She was 18 months old on her last day. Now at 2 I could see a huge difference in her maturity. (ha!! maturity... who knew?!)

In the pit.

Patiently waiting her turn to jump.
She waited her turn without me holding her down! It was a miracle!!

The bars are her favorite!
One area that still could use some improving is working with "props". She really prefers to do her own thing when they have bean bags, flags, balls... you name it!

She was a rock star on the balance beam. Refused to hold my hands!!
Mat on beam is their "surf board"

Back roll!!

So happy we are back at BCG!

Grandpa Brown in town!!

It is a good thing I take pictures because it is the only way I know how to catch up the blog!!

So, way back in March (yup... its been a while) Grandpa & Sue came for a visit to meet Baby Dee and play with Sammie. We had a great time! They made us dinner every night, I was able to go and get my hair done and come the weekend we all got to play at the science museum. Prepare for picture overload of Sammie the Science Kid!

First stop BUBBLES!!!
Time to get wet and BUBBLY!!

I had not been to the science museum since college. It is a fabulous place for kiddos!! There was so much to do. The toddler play area was a huge hit for Sammie.

Grandpa, Sammie & Daddy playing in the blocks.
The princess of the castle!
Row Row Row Your Boat!
Once we moved away from the toddler section, I assumed we were going to have our hands full. WRONG. Sammie loved the big kid attractions also. Light and Sound was particularly fun!
Clap and the tree lights up with the sound!
Clever Grandpa clapping behind his back and Sammie is amazed at the tree!
SHADOWS!!! I am sure there was a scientific lesson here... I just took pictures!!

Daddy and Sammie FREEZE!!
Dry Ice!!
This is SO FUN!!
Little brother was not amused at just 5 weeks old. Too much science for that little brain!
No idea what this is but she loved it!!
Grandpa & Sammie playing in the Giant Tree House.

Her favorite part... DINOSAURS!!!
Sammie loves dinosaurs! She sat on the floor and roared at the T-Rex. Then she cried when we had to leave the dino exhibit. Is she mine?
ROAR!!
Keeping Daddy & Grandpa on their toes!
We had a wonderful day at the science museum. When we came home, Sue & Grandpa had a present for Sammie. The Pirate Fairy costume... who knew she would be OBSESSED with this movie 3 months later!! Oh Tinkerbell...
Our little Pirate Fairy.
A light up wand? WOOOOO!
Sometimes... Sammie dresses herself. She decided to show Grandpa her amazing style before he left.
Leopard print pants + Polka Dots? Hehehe.
Thank you for coming and playing with us Grandpa!! We loved your visit!! Hurry back!

Granpa Visits!!

Grandpa Brown drove from Florida to visit!

Ballerina had a great time hanging for a few days with her Grandpa.

Daddy & Grandpa walking the Ballerina. She likes to hold hands on walks.

It was gameday. She wanted to climb on tailgate set ups.

Crazy girl.

She loves playing on campus.

Not sure we should teach her to ride dogs.
We had a great time with Grandpa Brown. So happy he got a chance to see how big Ballerina has gotten since his last visit!

Recital Time in OKLA!

Unfortunately for Ballerina, we had to head down to Ardmore the day her Daddy was set to come home from his trip. It was the first day of recital week at SCD and that is NO JOKE peeps!

I packed Ballerina up and off we went!

I had rehearsal that night but when I got home... I found my angel!

And yes, I realize she was not exactly a performer in the recital... but it was her first recital. Sooooo...
I happened to make sure she got a cast shirt!

It was an exhausting week. BUT... the show was amazing (as always) and my Ballerina was fabulous!!
