The Little Prince!!

On Wednesday February 12, 2014
We welcomed our son, Baby Dee, into the world!!

Weight: 8lbs. 20z.
Length: 19.5 inches
 Look at those chubby cheeks!!

It was truly love at first sight!! What is it about little boys tugging on those Mommy heartstrings?

Ballerina arrived at the hospital after her nap at daycare. She came in the room and immediately said "Baaaa-by" Which was then followed by her holding her arms out and saying "I hold it", " I hold it". Music to my ears!!
Ballerina was immediately smitten with her baby brother! And look at Daddy! He loves his kiddos!!

Blurry shot of my with my kiddos. Ballerina was not exactly fond of Mommy hooked up to IVs and things. She preferred staying in the chair with Daddy or running around the room while trying to push all the buttons.

We could not be more blessed. 2 happy healthy children!!

Only Chld No More!

Well, the weekend before Baby Dee was set to arrive we pampered Ballerina a little.

It was her last weekend as an only child, so we thought she could call the shots. Ha!

This kid loves the vacuum. Hopefully, she will continue to love this in her teen years!
So, a little house keeping in the morning!

Then for lunch we headed out to Ballerina's favorite restaurant in town, Ray's BBQ.
(Mommy and Daddy like it a lot too!)
After Ray's, Ballerina was treated to a Classic 50s Milkshake. Considering we normally go as sugar free as possible around here... this was a BIG deal!

When we got home, there was a big sister gift from Cousin Krissi! She sent tattoos!
Ballerina was a little scared at first but then she was happy to get Tinkerbell all over her arms!

While Daddy and Grammy made some dinner, Ballerina and I got to play all by ourselves.
She loves to Facetime with relatives but we cannot call them all day, everyday. When trying to avoid her making phone calls... I turn the camera on and we "photo shoot!"
You know you are getting spoiled when you have full control of the iPad! I am amazed at how well she can work it! Finds her own folder and everything!! It's crazy!!

We had a wonderful weekend spoiling the Ballerina!!

Merry Christmas 2013!

Well, we made through Christmas without getting sick. (Don't worry we only made it a few days) But we at least had a happy family for the Holiday!!

We went to church on Christmas Eve and Ballerina made it all the way until communion without getting all sorts of crazy. She did try to dance at the alter during the children's sermon but hey, she's my kid!! It is expected.

Yup, I took her picture in church.

When we got home, it was photo shoot by the tree time!! I love these pics!!

We then put Ballerina to bed so she could dream of Sugar Plums and all that jazz...

Mommy, the Elf, went to work on setting up some Santa gifts.

Christmas Eve is generally pretty festive at Tutu's house but this year it was very small. Just our immediate family and Aunt Cindy. I love how my mother still have the best tables even for small groups. Someday (after the toddler phases) I will have great tables too!

This is Ballerina on Christmas morning. Trying to get her Daddy to move faster so she can get out of the bedroom...
Knocking on the door... this is her "Let's GO!! People!" face.

And see, Daddy, it all paid off!! Girl was into the kitchen immediately.

Her stocking is as big as she is and she insisted on carrying it to Tutu to open.

 Giggles!

Pappy was getting all sorts of Ballerina love on Christmas!!

Reading a new book from her stocking!

A Christmas Miracle... Ballerina sitting at the real table eating with the adults like a big girl!

We had a very fun Christmas!! Always exhausting but completely worth it!!

Christmas Part 2!

Well, this was our first year to really have a gift from Santa that required some assembly.
OH MY!! Who knew that play kitchens were designed by evil people cackling themselves to sleep on Christmas Eve (lucky for us we assembled on Dec. 23) while others stay up all night trying to solve the puzzle.

It started out to seem somewhat simple... just a little box...
The project began about 8:45pm...

Look at the number of screws!! Eeeek!!

This is looking like major surgery.

This is Pappy telling my husband that he will "supervise" the project and continue to keep Brian's drink refilled. Pappy said he has done his time building these things and is passing the torch!

At about 10:30pm... we hit a hiccup. This cost Brian about 30 minutes. He was not a happy camper.

Crisis averted!! Now back to work and perhaps... a scotch!

This was the last I saw of the kitchen until morning. I went to bed about 11:45pm.
The boys stayed up until about 12:45am, moved the thing to the garage and were pooped!!

It turned out super cute!! And don't worry... she loves it!!

The next day, we gave Daddy some "resting" time and headed off to see our friends!
It is crazy difficult to get these kiddos to sit still!

Watching Elf movies, running around Lulu's house.
Halle, Addi and Ballerina were full of the Christmas Eve excitement.

I cannot wait until these 2 are Srs in high school and I get to put these types of pics in their slideshow!! Such goofs!!

More Christmas Cheer to come tomorrow!!

Christmas & Mayhem!

As many of you know, we have been a little crazy at the Brown house.
From Thanksgiving on, one of us has been sick every week until.... THIS WEEK!
We moved, we have had multiple Dr visits and now we are preparing for Brother to arrive!!

So... I took a blogging break to try and get our REAL life back in order.
Here is Christmas Part 1.

Ballerina had her very first school Christmas Party this year.
Miss Janet is wonderful and we loved it!
She was dress all festive and ready to go on that day!!

Daddy got to come to the party too!!

We have never attempted a "Santa Visit" so this was our first.

Ballerina was having no part of sitting on that man's lap so we took a pic from behind.

Not sure how Miss Janet gets her to sit so well at her table. I need her bag of tricks!!

She probably ate her weight in sugar this day... but... as strict as I am about it, it's Christmas! Can't be the Scrooge of the bunch!!

After the party we hopped in the car and headed to Ardmore for more festivities.
Check back tomorrow for Christmas Part 2!!
